RESEARCH SERVICES

My name is Jennie Chapman and I have been researching my family history for more than thirty-five years - professionally for over ten. I have a passion for Tasmanian genealogy and history and love delving into the families that made Tasmania what it is today. With access to all major repositories in Hobart, including the Tasmanian Archive & Heritage Office, State Library and Land Titles Office, a large range of records are available for researching.

Some of these are:

  • Church Registers
  • Census & Musters
  • Newspapers
  • Education
  • Births, Deaths & Marriages
  • Valuation & Electoral Rolls
  • Courts, Crimes & Convictions
  • Inquests
  • Baptisms & burials
  • Hotels & Publican licenses
  • Land Grants & Titles
  • Police Appointments, Dismissals & Resignations
  • Convicts
  • Probate
  • Shipping
  • and much, much more...
